Paul is the Chairman and founder of Beardwell Construction Ltd. Still actively involved in the company’s day-to-day operations, his passion for delivering high-quality projects has shaped Beardwell into the successful, multi-million-pound construction business it is today.
A qualified Quantity Surveyor and Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), Paul began his career in the late 1970s on major civil engineering projects for a national contractor. His early experience included work on major schemes such as the River Thames Flood Prevention Scheme, petrochemical developments at Shell Haven Refinery (now DP World), and several Ministry of Defence projects.
Paul later joined a regional building contractor specialising in new build, design and build, refurbishment and heritage projects before taking a leap of faith and founding Beardwell Construction Ltd in 1986. His aim was to deliver exemplar projects built on integrity and excellence while fostering lasting client relationships – principles that continue to define the business.
Under Paul’s leadership, Beardwell has grown into one of the region’s most respected construction firms. Each project reflects the company’s founding values of integrity, excellence and client satisfaction, providing successive generations with a strong foundation for continued development and growth.
