We are thrilled to announce that work has commenced at Sir George Monoux College which is located in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Sir George Monoux was born in 1465 in Walthamstow, Essex and was an English merchant in Bristol and London. Six times Master of the Worshipful Company of Drapers, he served as Lord Mayor of London and was an important benefactor in Walthamstow. In 1527 Monoux purchased land for almshouses and a school in Walthamstow. Formerly the Sir George Monoux Grammar School it became a 6th form college in 1986. Sir George Monoux College has approximately 2,000 students drawn from north and east London.
We will be working alongside the client’s consultant team of Fusion FM and Woodley Coles. The project involves the design and construction of a new ALP facility and alterations to create new digital classrooms. It will also include the refurbishment and re-roofing of the science building.
